Arco Etrusco Exploring Umbria
Forse la più bella e maestosa testimonianza dell'appartenenza di Perugia all'antica civiltà Etrusca, è proprio l'arco Etrusco, conosciuto anche come Arco Augusto (oppure porta Tezia, porta Settentrionale, porta Pulchra, porta di Via Vecchia ecc.).

A differenza della cinta, l'Arco Etrusco, come pure la porta Marzia, vengono ricostruiti negli anni centrali del III secolo a.C., probabilmente in relazione al prolungamento del percorso dell'Amerina fino a Perugia. L'Arco Etrusco è affiancato da due torrioni a pianta trapezoidale che sporgono dalle mura e che sviluppano un'altezza di circa.

Le due porte più importanti erano l' Arco Etrusco o di Augusto a nord e la Porta Marzia a sud, situate alle estremità del principale asse viario della città (il cardo), costituito ora da corso Vannucci e via Rocchi.
